New Stuff for Mobile Podium

Just 5 months after the initial release of Mobile Podium, WhippleHill is adding new features! We took feedback from the Mobile Podium Beta Testers as well as Uservoice, so this release has a little something for everyone.

Teachers will enjoy the flexibility of taking attendance and checking their schedules from their favorite devices.

Students and Parents will also be able to view their schedules and now will have access to the links and downloads on the Mobile versions of their Group Pages.

Managers will be able to better troubleshoot Mobile questions with the new Impersonate User task.  They’ll also be able to make more informed navigation decisions with site stats from Google Analytics or Omniture. Plus Managers will now be able to self-manage the mobile site’s shortcut icon that gets saved on your user’s homescreen. This shortcut icon will now work for both iOS and Android devices.

Speaking of device homescreens, visitors on an iOS device will be greeted with a Mobile Bookmark Bubble prompting them to save a shortcut to your mobile site.

This release is currently in QA being tested and will be live before the end of September. Want to see more? Be sure to register for the 9/21/11 webinar.

Awesome news. Keep it coming! Can’t get enough mobile functionality. I love the KISS (keep it simple, smarty) interface.

Think it is great! But how do I change the homescreen icon on my iphone to our school logo(like the St Luke’s demo) instead of a shot of the mobile homepage ?

Just wanted to say thanks for making such a functional and user friendly mobile site. Our employees and parents have been very impressed. I can’t remember the last time we had such positive feedback about our site. The hits on our mobile site keep growing, and it’s moved way up the ladder in our top ranked pages on the site.
